Machhapuchchhre Sports Meet-2075 kicked off on Wednesday, 1st Falgun 2075 amidst the crowd of excited and enthusiastic athletes. The events of various games and sports were held during three days period. The students from Nursery to Grade IX actively participated in different events and won many medals. The closing ceremony was held on Friday, 3rd Falgun 2075 with a march past in the alphabetical order of the names of different houses, viz., Begnas, Fewa, Rara and Tilicho. There were final games of Girls’ Basketball, Badminton and Table Tennis before the medals were distributed. Medals were given away to the winners by the principal, Mr. Sampurna Dewapatey and all the faculty members turn by turn. Tilicho House was able to grab the trophy of ‘The Best House of The Year-2075’.
Girls’ Basketball team of Machhapuchchhre School was declared to be the winner of 1st Three Star Basketball Tournament-2075 organized by Three Star English School, Boudha, Kathmandu on 10th February 2019. There were 12 teams for the tournament and most of the players were from grade IX and X. But the team of Machhapuchchhre was consisted of grade-VII students who were trained by the sports coach, Mr. Prasanna Kumar Pradha. The title ‘Most Valuable Player’ was also bagged by the team leader, Kamana Saru Magar of Machhapuchchhre. The team members along with their sports coach handed over the trophy to the principal, Mr. Sampurna Dewapatey during the morning assembly.
Class Day Program of grade -IV to VIII was organized at Machhapuchchhre School on 19th Magh 2075 unleashing the inherent talents of the students on the stage. The program was chaired by the CEO of the school, Dr. Binod Prasad Yadav and jointly inaugurated by the CEO, distinguished guests the Vice Chancellor of Patan Academy of Health Science, Dr. Bharat Kumar Yadav and Mr. Deepak Subedi, the Chief Secretary of Province No-2. The program was initiated by the secondary In-charge, Mr. Santosh Kumar Bhandari and anchored by the students of IV-VIII. Most of the performers presented unique dances and songs. Finally, the program was concluded by the principal, Mr. Sampurna Dewapatey with a vote of thanks.
